Abstract

Effective reading instruction is essential for developing students’ language skills, comprehension, and critical thinking. This paper explores various classroom techniques and activities designed to enhance reading proficiency among learners of different ages. Strategies such as pre-reading preparation, interactive reading, paired and group reading, questioning techniques, and post-reading discussions are analyzed for their effectiveness. The study emphasizes the importance of engaging students actively, promoting vocabulary acquisition, and fostering a positive reading environment. The findings suggest that incorporating diverse reading activities not only improves comprehension but also increases students’ motivation and confidence in reading.
