Abstract

This paper explores the importance of assessing speaking skills in English language teaching. Speaking assessment helps learners develop pronunciation, vocabulary, grammatical accuracy, expression of ideas, and communication skills. Effective assessment methods also increase students’ motivation and make the learning process more interactive and engaging.
