Abstract

This article explores the influence of globalization on contemporary language change. It examines how the spread of international communication, migration, technology, global media, and cultural exchange accelerates linguistic transformations across the world. The study analyzes both positive and negative effects of globalization on languages, including the rise of English as a global lingua franca, the disappearance of minority languages, and the emergence of new hybrid varieties. The article argues that globalization reshapes linguistic structures, vocabulary, and communication styles in significant ways. It concludes that language change is a natural but complex process driven by global interconnectedness.
