Abstract

n recent years, the integration of technology into language education has significantly transformed traditional teaching and learning practices. Among various language skills, speaking remains one of the most challenging competencies for EFL (English as a Foreign Language) learners to develop effectively. This study explores the role of podcast and voice journal technologies in developing learners’ speaking skills. The research highlights how these digital tools enhance fluency, pronunciation, confidence, and learner autonomy. Using a qualitative and descriptive research approach, this paper analyzes existing literature and pedagogical practices related to podcasting and voice journaling in speaking instruction. The findings suggest that podcast and voice journal technologies provide authentic language exposure, encourage reflective learning, and create a low-anxiety environment for speaking practice. The study concludes that the integration of these technologies can significantly contribute to improving speaking proficiency in EFL contexts.
