Abstract

In this article, methods and principles of hydraulic calculation of storm drainage networks are investigated for the purpose of effective wastewater disposal in urbanized areas. Within the framework of the study, the influence of precipitation intensity, surface infiltration coefficient, and relief features on the pipeline capacity was analyzed using mathematical models. Issues of reducing the risk of turbidity and flooding in pipelines by optimizing the permissible values of the hydraulic slope and water flow velocity in the system were considered. Also, a comparative analysis of modern hydrological calculation methods with traditional formulas is presented, and recommendations for increasing the accuracy of engineering projects are developed. As a result of the calculations, the optimal diameter and slope indicators, ensuring stable network operation, were determined.
