This article explores effective methods of teaching English for Specific
Purposes (ESP) in vocational colleges, with a focus on enhancing students’
professional communication skills. In modern vocational education, English is not
only a subject but also a practical tool for future careers. The study analyzes
various teaching approaches, including task-based learning, communicative
language teaching, and the integration of authentic materials tailored to specific
professional fields. Special attention is given to the use of digital technologies and
interactive methods to increase student engagement and motivation. The research
highlights the importance of needs analysis in designing ESP courses that
correspond to learners’ occupational requirements. The findings suggest that a
combination of learner-centered strategies and context-based instruction
significantly improves students’ language competence and job readiness. This
paper provides practical recommendations for teachers working in vocational
education settings.
