Abstract

Roman-Germanic languages, also referred to as Indo-European languages, constitute one of the largest and most historically significant language families in the world. They have evolved over millennia, reflecting extensive geographical, social, and cultural variation. This article provides a general overview of Roman-Germanic languages, examines their historical development, and presents the main principles of classification. The study highlights the relationships among various branches and emphasizes the importance of understanding linguistic similarities and differences within this family.
