Epilepsy is a chronic neurological disorder characterized by recurrent seizures, which significantly affect patients’ physical, emotional, and social well-being. Nursing care plays a crucial role in the management of epilepsy by ensuring patient safety, monitoring seizure activity, administering medications, providing education, and supporting patients’ psychosocial needs. This article reviews the principles of nursing care in epilepsy, seizure types, patient assessment, and evidence-based nursing interventions. Comprehensive nursing strategies improve quality of life, reduce seizure-related complications, and support adherence to treatment plans.
