This article analyzes the linguistic problems and opportunities of using artificial intelligence technologies in translation studies. In particular, semantic ambiguity, phraseology, pragmatic and linguocultural factors are discussed. The effectiveness and prospects of artificial intelligence in the translation process are also highlighted.
